Don't I know it! Being able to access journal articles is a bugaboo for me. Because there is really no way to get ahold of many journals if you do not work at a research institution or a large company.

Being asked to pay $30 or more for a 20 year old article, as I am for some papers that I wrote back then, is ridiculous.

There has to be a system developed for individuals and small businesses to access these journals without it costing an arm and a leg.

I mean a system besides asking a friend at a college to get the PDF for you ;-)

I believe Papers has an iPhone app that lets you synch your reference list between your phone and computer. Of course, just because you have access to your reference list, that doesn't mean you have access to the journal articles if you're away from your subscribing institution.
