		<description>Actually much of  the work that demonstrates the 5 steps and the bell curve was done for things that cost money. This was done for the adoption of a new hybrid corn amongst farmers in the 30s.

The steps have seen with pesticides, antibiotics, software, etc. It is why we have advertising and word of mouth. Most people do not make changes in what they do or what they use without human interaction.</description>
